I'm just realizing we're a bit Gio Ponti-happy in our Jan-Feb 2010 issue. He's made his way into two stories in the design well:

"At the back of the house, the family room looks down on the garden. Southern light plays off the Gio Ponti chairs and table with reverse painted top, providing reading or games space." (page 56)

"Gio Ponti sofas and armchairs join Mies van der Rohe Barcelona chairs in a room where art takes center stage." (page 64)

"The end table is a Piero Fornasetti/Gio Ponti collaboration." (page 68)

Flipping through the pages of this issue yet again, I see that the seating in particular has a great story to tell.
From the rawness and grime of "Brooklyn Express" to the antiqued elegance of "Self Contained."
