Deck:
Sorry we missed you...

Great design stops for no one and no thing…even the worst snowstorm the area has seen in more than a decade.

I'd like to call attention to a couple parties that I was not able to attend Thursday night. I hope to raise a celebratory glass with you sometime in the near future.

First up was the pina coladas I missed at the launch party for ALB International Fabrics and interior designer Juan Montoya's Island Collection (available through Holland & Sherry and ALB International Fabrics). Montoya is always fabulous and continued on the tradition with this line of 70 interior fabrics that consists of six multi-colored styles in linen and two in cotton, all of which fully coordinate with each other.

The calypso music was pumping and the live palm trees were swaying in their 9th floor Flatiron showroom that was transformed into a tropical paradise. Here's a few shots ALB was kind enough to supply from the event:

And Waterworks was celebrating too, snowstorm be damned, at their new two-story, 8,000 square foot flagship at 215 E. 58th Street, around the corner from the D&D (smart locale if you ask me). The place was dolled up into a modern version of "classic New York," they said, with the use of subway tile, some traditional finishing details, and a warm gray floor.

Congrats to you both and hope to see you soon!
